For years, The Academy Awards have been an intriguing part of Hollywood. The night show appreciates Hollywood stars with Oscar awards and prizes every year. However, The Academy has chosen the un-walked path this year: Partnering with TikTok Stars. It is essential to note that the Academy has been keeping ‘an eagle’s eye’ on TikTok for the last few years. Based on the analysis, The Academy has concluded that TikTok is one of the giant content-producing platforms. Thus, the TikTok stars need appreciation.
In a recent statement, The Academy has officially announced that it will partner with TikTok stars to appreciate the talent and quality content executed on the video-sharing platform. Likewise, The Academy also has the motive of attracting young viewers. Since TikTok is wildly popular among the young generation and the talent on the platform is also from youngsters, The Academy has come to terms that it is to collaborate with these young talents.
Commenting on the nature of content and talent that are executed on TikTok, The Academy confesses that it has “transformed” the lives of many youngsters across the globe. According to the official statement (from The Academy), the stars who execute their talents and are massively followed on the platform need appreciation. Thus, they will be a part of the 94th Annual Academy Awards.
Being a TikTok star comes with lots of unattained dreams. Essentially, TikTok stars make brief (very brief, in fact) videos and share them on the platform. Thus, it is not clear whether or not that piece of content will attract viewers. But the catch is that when it does attract viewers, the life of the video maker changes. Forever. It does not take long for TikTok stars to make their content viral and gain overnight fame and success.
Reece Feldman is one of those TikTok stars. He has been making content on TikTok for the last couple of years. Since then, he had a minute following. But recently, his content went viral, and his following tripled in no time.
Now, Reece is witnessing his dreams coming true as he becomes part of the 94th Annual Academy Awards. The Academy has already partnered with him to appreciate his talent on TikTok.
Apart from Reece, 24 more TikTok stars are also living their dreams: They have made it to the Oscars. Guy With A Movie Camera, Juju Green, and Emily Uribe are some of the TikTok stars who are part of this year’s Academy Awards.
It is essential to note here that this is one of the historical moves of The Academy. It is for the first time in history that a mega event like the Academy Awards hosts TikTok stars. Likewise, it is equally essential to note that The Academy acknowledges that TikTok is a wildly popular platform. And it has a “massive impact” on the users’ lives.
